ARIMIDEX is now provided in two packaging options to meet your needs. Some of you may prefer the ARIMIDEX PACK calendar blister pack option, which can be a useful tool for reminding you to take your medication as prescribed. Others may prefer ARIMIDEX packaged in the 30-count bottle. Regardless of the packaging option you choose, you’ll still get the same ARIMIDEX tablet at the same dose.
ARIMIDEX PACK Opening Instructions
The ARIMIDEX PACK has been designed with safety features that make it child resistant. Follow the instructions below to access your medication.
- Select the day of the week that you start your medication
- Using your fingernail, pull tab off to expose the back side of the tablet covering
- Turn the ARIMIDEX PACK over to the side where you can see the tablets
- Select the correct tablet and use your thumb to push the tablet out through the other side
- Continue in direction of arrows for your next dose
Tips on taking ARIMIDEX
- Take the prescribed dose at the same time each day
- If you forget to take a dose, take one as soon as you remember, if it is at least 12 hours before the next dose is due
- If it is less than 12 hours to the next dose, do not take the dose you have missed
- Do not take two doses at once to make up for a missed dose
- Always take ARIMIDEX as your doctor prescribes
Ideas to help you remember to take your daily medication
- Take it at a time that’s part of your daily routine, such as when you wake up in the morning or with dinner
- Check the ARIMIDEX PACK and mark the first day you take a pill
- Ask a loved one to remind you to take your medicine
- Create a daily appointment to take your medicine using a daily alarm on:
- Your cell phone
- Your computer's calendar or other electronic scheduler
- Your alarm clock
- Keep a "medicine calendar" and check off each day after you’ve taken your medication
